Savage Tales, Vol. 1, No. 1, May.,
1971. "Rated M for the mature reader!" Black and white stories in the Warren
tradition, with some of the past Warren illustrators, including Gray Morrow, Gene Colan,
and John Buscema. The cover, by John Buscema, is a poor Frazetta imitation.

Web
of Horror, No. 3, Apr., 1970. A publisher other than Warren and Stan Lee (Marvel), Major
Magazines, Inc., tried to enter into the Creepy/Eerie domain with this title, which lasted
only 3 issues. However, it was good exposure for a few younger artists, including Berni
Wrightson, Bruce Jones, and Mike Kaluta. Jones copied Wally Wood quite well, and another
artist, Ralph Reese, copied Frank Frazetta. Berni Wrightson unique style was developing
well with his work on this issue.
