A full 360° panorama around the entrance to the Brandenburg Gate on the old East Berlin side. While we were there (Stella visited one day then traveled on while I worked), a lot of construction and rebuilding was going on. At one high location we were able to count over a hundred gantry cranes, all within approximately a 10 block area. The colored pipes over the roads are for pumping water out of the excavations and to the river, because Berlin has such a high ground water level. Without the constant pumping, every hole in the ground would become a small lake.
