A 360° panorama taken from the Panorama Trail. The late September late-afternoon (4-4:30) sun is shining on Half Dome and Liberty Dome. The Panorama Trail starts at Glacier Point and winds along the canyon walls for nine miles, ending at the top of Nevada Falls. At mid point, and a good area to take a break, is Illilouette Falls. The trail crosses a suspension bridge a little way above the falls. On warm days, it's nice to take the hiking boots off hot feet and soak them in Illilouette Creek for a while before heading on. For the really adventurous, the Panorama Trail hooks up to the John Muir Trail, which heads up to Tuolumne Meadows and points north.
